Remarks
From Matthies's book: "This sycamore was standing at the time of the settlement of Danbury in 1685 and marked the west boundary of the town on West Wooster Street. It witnessed the retreat of the British to Ridgefield after they had burned Danbury." This tree was cut down in 2014 by the power company due to proximity to power lines.
