Remarks
From Matthies's book: "This beautiful old elm stands in front of Elmshade at the head of the Green. It is nearly the size of the Wethersfield Elm. Moses Dyer, who owned Elmshade and who died at the age of ninety-five in 1898, stated that the elm was a good-sized tree when the house was built in 1784."
